Our Technology

By offering state-of-the-art technology at Dentist Melbourne, we are able to provide patients with the latest in dentistry to enhance their care and experience. Our practice is proud to feature technology that many other dental practices don’t have. With technology on-site, you won’t have to drive all over town to get the modern dentistry you need. Some of the latest technology we have include:

  • Three different types of advanced laser machines
  • Trios – which means your mouth impressions can be taken without the uncomfortable clay-like goo
  • The wand
  • Zoom Whitening

We also have the following here at the practice:

Using digital dental technology, CEREC allows our highly skilled and experienced dentists to fabricate tooth restorations quickly and effectively in just one appointment versus the 2 or 3 visits previously needed for high-quality ceramic restorations. With CEREC, we can create the following colour-matched restorations, which are highly durable:

Digital X-rays

Digital radiography is a form of X-ray imaging that utilises digital X-ray sensors to replace conventional photographic X-ray film, producing improved computer images of teeth, gums, and other oral structures and conditions.

Digital radiographs expose small hidden areas of decay between teeth or below existing restorations (fillings), bone infections, gum (periodontal) disease, abscesses or cysts, developmental abnormalities and tumours that cannot be discovered with only a visual dental examination. Another advantage of digital X-rays is that less radiation is needed to produce the same quality image as film.

CT Scanner

The difference between a CT scan and a conventional X-ray is that a CT scan provides us with a 3D image. This way we can see inside the entire tooth, jawbone, and even your airway. The technology is useful in helping us diagnose different conditions and aids in planning appropriate treatment.

By having microscopes at the practice, our dentists are able to see more detail than ever before.

This ability is incredibly helpful as it saves time when working on crowns, bridges and partial dentures.
